Home is where families grow, live, play, bond and flourish…Care Fund’s mission is to keep families in their homes while they care for their seriously ill or injured child. The foundation grants mortgage or rent to families when they are experiencing financial hardship from unforeseen childhood medical hardship from birth to 18 years of age.
Pat Lamb, President of Homeowners Financial Group, experienced the passing of his infant son Apollo. Out of their grief, the family came to honor their son by creating a foundation to aid families with similar experiences. Bill Rogers, founder and CEO of Homeowners Financial Group has been consistently committed to community philanthropy from the inception of the company. Together, they unified their vision to support Arizona families whose children face serious illness or injury and created Care Fund.
The history behind the Care Fund is a heartfelt collaboration between numerous local and national companies, employees, countless volunteers and our giving donor community who all help to support families by keeping them in their homes.
Launched in 2013 by the “homeownership industry”, the Apollo Foundation dba Care Fund is a critical part of Arizona’s family support network. Working with all hospitals, case workers and the health and welfare community, ensures the Care Fund’s bridge to a stronger, more stable family environment for all Arizonans. Care Fund is an Arizona-based 501(c)(3) non-profit where donations go directly to the support of Arizona families. In all our programs and activities, Care Fund prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, disability, sex, marital status, familial status, parental status, religion or sexual orientation.
