2018 Chairman of the Board

JIM BELFIORE – President, Belfiore Real Estate Consulting

JIM BELFIORE is founder and President of Belfiore Real Estate Consulting, Arizona’s leading full service market research firm. He has more than 17 years of experience in Arizona housing research. Jim has been a vital link on the Board of Directors for 3 years supporting through exceptional and numerous charitable giving and volunteering activities like “Dealmakers!” his annual real estate industry overview and the Charitable Tax Credit Campaign where he creates challenges to make one-to-one contact with CPA’s and his database. Now in its second year his famous BBQ + Corn Hole Tournament to benefit Care Fund is another pride and joy in his community give back. Jim is a Care Fund pied piper and we are extremely proud to name him 2018 Chairman.


2018 Vice Chairman of the Board

MICHELLE SCHWARTZ – Regional Vice President, Old Republic Title

Michelle Schwartz is the Regional Vice President of Old Republic Title. There’s no stopping Michelle! She’s built a legendary role at Old Republic Title, hosting the unprecedented realtor and industry “O Event” throughout her career – motivating, inspiring and pushing the envelope on behalf of community giving. Through Old Republic Title, Michelle has raised thousands of dollars for deserving Care Fund local families. As the new Care Fund’s 2018 Vice Chairman, Michelle has been integral in the growth and expansion plans happening at the Care Fund. “Sky’s the limit!” with her flair for creating big ideas that result in positive local family impact from the important Care Fund’s mission; to keep families in their homes while they care for their ill or injured child.


2018 Treasurer of the Board

TOM OSSELAER – Chief Financial Officer, Homeowners Financial Group

Tom Osselaer has been at the core of the Care Fund’s meteoric rise as a start-up non-profit, now challenging an aggressive expansion to take Care Fund to its next level of governance and growth. Homeowners Financial Group’s role as the pillar of the Care Fund, allows Tom to help support the foundation’s fiduciary accounting matters with over 30 years in financial services. His expertise in Financials, Accounting, Secondary Marketing, and IT divisions are invaluable to the overall success of the Care Fund mission. We thank Tom for his ever increasing loyalty and caring for the many families served.



NICK PTAK – Broker, The Brokery, Arcadia

Nick has people radar… the uncanny ability to seamlessly network and connect people with their like interests. With a steeped family history in Phoenix, Nick has spent many years honing his skills that bode well for building his Arizona real estate business. Blending community giving and volunteering with his business model, he represents upscale buyers and sellers in affluent enclaves around town. Nick has a true passion for connecting people. He utilizes his innate abilities to lead the Care Fund to opportunities with new companies or potential new Advisory members who will take to heart the needs of local families in medical and financial crisis.




For Sherrie, life is what you make it! She’s enthusiastic about all things possible…Care Fund is one of her community volunteer passions in life ~ giving back comes naturally for someone as outgoing and gracious as Sherrie. She navigates in the real estate world of new clients and referral clients, yet never misses an opportunity to promote Care Fund. One of the first Advisory members to always volunteer for the next assignment, Sherrie will bring new members into the fold, as well as introduce anyone in earshot to the good work of the Care Fund and its family impact in our community.



TEA HONKANEN, Broker Long Realty

Always on a mission. Tea represents one of the best can-do! spirits on the Council in Tucson. Her engaging personality lends itself to create opportunity for growing the Care Fund in Tucson. After only a short 2 years, Tucson Advisory members have shown that they are committed to the family mission as well as giving the Care Fund a voice among business and community leaders. Tea will go to great lengths to find events, grants or 3rd party opportunities in order to advance the cause. Hats off to you Tea ~ you’re one of a kind,… our Care Fund kind!



GLEN WARNER – Sales Manager, Homeowners Financial Group

Glen has a following and never attends any event or meeting without inviting a new friend, co-worker or client. His approach to the ‘snowball effect’ helps to spin out the Care Fund to many, as Tucson Chair’s Council becomes a high profile community advocacy in Southern Arizona. An avid volunteer, Glen and his team tend to be the first at volunteer duties. His HFG team is front and center for most all Care Fund endeavors. We thank Glenn for his diligent and positive contribution to make Care fund one of Tucson’s important initiatives.
