Derrick Polder Named 2023 Board Member of the Year

We are thrilled to announce Derrick Polder as the 2023 Care Fund Board Member of the Year. Derrick's unwavering dedication, profound compassion, and exceptional leadership have significantly enriched our organization's mission to provide support to families in need due to their child's serious illness or injury.

Derrick has been a friend to the Care Fund for many years and finally joined the Board of Directors in February 2023. In addition to his service as a Board member, he also chairs our Advisory Council of Tucson, leading 30 dedicated members in raising critical funds that provide rent and mortgage assistance for Care Fund families.

The culmination of his efforts in 2023 was the Wonderlust event held December 2 at Executive Air in Tucson, hosting nearly 500 attendees for an epic party in the hangar with live music and dancing, exotic cars and private jets, delicious food, fashion models and aerialists, and more! This was the largest event that Care Fund has held in Tucson to date, raising more than $235,000 for our Care Fund families.
