Baby Boy was born June 5. He has not been officially named yet because the family has been unable to perform religious customs since he has been sick. Baby Boy was 4 days old when diagnosed with GBS, Meningitis, Seizures, and multiple other diagnoses.
Baby Boy will be in the hospital for 7-8 weeks and possibly more depending on MRI results. In his short two months of life, he has had multiple scans, blood tests, x-rays, been on several antibiotics, and more. He is currently on medication for seizures. Baby Boy also has scarring on his brain from his illnesses.
Baby Boy is the youngest of 6 children. His mother stays home to care for his 5 siblings and his father currently works in the garbage removal business.
His father has had to take many days off of work to help care for his children at home and his baby in the hospital. His job is nearly all commission-based so taking time off has impacted the family greatly.
