While on summer vacation at Disneyland, two-year-old Remi fell ill. In the emergency room he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
Complications from a staph infection required a longer hospital stay for Remi and he will also require outpatient chemo treatments and biopsies in the coming months.
Remi cannot attend daycare for at least 8 months, so Remi's mother had to take unpaid leave from work to stay home and care for him.
